In the Junior School our maths programmes are based on the Numeracy Project.  Each week classes will have 3 lessons based on 'number' and 1 based on strand maths (geometry, measurement or statistics).

How to Help at Home:

Play board or card games that have maths components, eg: Snakes and Ladders, Yahtzee or Crib.  Practice maths knowledge as a family - in the car, around the dinner table or while brushing your teeth.  This can be as simple as skip counting in 2s, 5s or 10s, addition facts to 10 or times tables.  See the attached booklet on other simple but effective maths games to play with a pack of cards.
